Luxury Escapes is an in-person company, with 4 days in the office, and 1-day WFH.

About The Team

Our cross-functional teams include Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers focused on delivering solutions and solving problems rather than simply completing tickets. The structure is flat, and the process is lean, with a culture of MVP, iteration, and "build, measure, learn" at the heart of everything we do. We share in-depth experience in Node/Typescript, React, PostgreSQL, AWS SQS, SNS, S3 Lambda, and more.

Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) is one of the few lucky teams that sit horizontally across all products at Luxury Escapes Our main priorities are to improve the customer experience and drive conversions. This involves working across all verticals (hotels, flights, experiences etc) and with all our teams to get their features delivered to the customers in the best possible way.

Some recent projects:

Creating the new face of LE with our brand-new homepage, showcasing the different travel deals we offer.Optimising the purchase flow, making it both simpler and modern in design.AB testing with Optimizely and front-end analytics practices to increase conversion.

What You'll Do

You will be responsible for managing a team of software engineers, overseeing the development and delivery of software solutions, and ensuring that our technology infrastructure meets the needs of our business.

At Luxury Escapes all engineers, regardless of level, have a desire to remain hands-on with their coding - so if you want an immersive environment where you can truly influence the success of a highly trafficked platform - this could be the role for you

Relevant Skills

JavaScript/ Node.js/ Typescript.React (our frontend uses react and redux).SQL (we use PostgreSQL).RESTful API design.Automated testing and continuous integration.Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience working in an agile team environment, continuously shipping environment.Strong expertise in software architecture and design patterns, with a particular focus on micro-services.
