We are seeking a highly skilled administrative professional to provide support and advice to the Ministerial Services and Coordination branch. This full‑time opportunity allows you to work with a high‑performing, passionate team in the Victorian Public Service. About The Role The Adviser, Statutory Appointments will provide advice to departmental staff about upcoming appointments to statutory entities; write, prepare and lodge Cabinet and Governor in Council paperwork for ministerial offices, deputy secretaries and the Secretary, and manage the probity process. Responsibilities Preparing complex briefings, Cabinet and Executive Council documentation, instruments of appointment and correspondence in relation to statutory appointments for Justice portfolios. Undertaking research and consultation to determine the terms and conditions of appointments that should apply to statutory office holders. Reading, interpreting, and applying guidelines and legislation in relation to statutory appointments. About You Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet firm deadlines. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and legislation. Good written and verbal communications skills. Attention to detail. Knowledge of and/or experience in government and administrative processes. Understanding of Cabinet, Executive Council and legislative processes, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
