Teacher – Home Economics Permanent full‑time position commencing Term 1, 2026. Overview Ridge View Secondary College (SC) is a state‑of‑the‑art independent public school located 45 kilometers south of Perth in Baldivis. The school caters to Years 7–12 and has a capacity of 1,450 students following Stage 2 upgrades. Responsibilities Deliver and assess the Western Australian Home Economics curriculum up to Year 12, including Year 7–8 Home Economics, Year 9–10 Textiles and Child Development, Year 11–12 Children, Family & Community, Year 9–10 Food Science and Year 11–12 Food Science. Possibly teach additional lower‑school (Years 7–8) Technologies subjects as part of the wider Technologies team. Build strong relationships with students, staff and the wider community, employing highly effective interpersonal skills. Commit to reflective practice, whole‑school pedagogical approaches, effective classroom management and curriculum differentiation. Prepare and present engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences for all students. Qualifications Holder of an eligible teacher qualification and registration. Strong knowledge, skills and understanding of the Western Australian Home Economics curriculum. Experience delivering schooling up to Year 12, with a willingness to teach Years 7–8 and a desire to deliver Certificate II courses. Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or a valid visa with work rights for the term of appointment. Application for a WA Working with Children Check prior to start.
