Associate Director - Solutions Architect KPMG’s Deal Advisory and Infrastructure Technology & Innovation team is a small but rapidly growing group focused on cutting‑edge technology, data, and AI solutions. Role As a Solutions Architect, you will drive technology decisions and design new solutions for the Deal Advisory & Infrastructure division from feasibility to deployment and ongoing operations. Responsibilities Lead complex solution architecture projects from conception to implementation, consulting with stakeholders to capture requirements and translating them into viable solutions, including sizing and estimation. Design, implement and roll out cutting‑edge software, AI and analytics solutions that deliver measurable impact for clients and stakeholders. Lead and manage a team of developers, providing coaching and mentorship to enable professional growth. Build solution designs that explain the problem, architecture, system flow, key considerations for security and data privacy, and delivery plan. Contribute to our emerging AI practice, collaborating with AI architects and technical leads to build robust, scalable AI‑based solutions aligned with our Trusted AI framework. Conduct research into appropriate technologies and patterns to find the best solution for each business problem. Maintain and evolve current solutions, contribute to architectural roadmaps and design patterns. Qualifications & Experience Tertiary degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field. Industry‑recognised certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent. Hands‑on experience developing AI solutions, including Retrieval‑Augmented Generation architectures. Experience in data engineering using Spark‑based platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure Synapse). Proficiency in designing scalable, high‑performance architectures (microservices, serverless, event‑driven). Practical experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, source control (GitHub, Azure DevOps). Experience with analytics tools (Power BI, Semantic Models, DAX, Alteryx). Strong leadership and ability to manage cross‑functional, diverse teams. Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
