Job Summary The Medi‑Spa Physician administers cosmetic medical procedures to onboard guests. They must possess the clinical knowledge to safely and effectively perform these procedures, explain all aspects of the products and services accurately, and provide aesthetic medical solutions that address guests’ concerns. Physicians collaborate with the Medi‑Spa Sales Consultant for sales, marketing, and promotional aspects and may translate as needed. They must gain knowledge of spa services and products to cross‑promote offerings. Physicians review and give final approval for all service/treatment plans organized and booked by the Medi‑Spa Sales Consultant. Requirements Completed medical education and hold a medical degree from a recognized institution. Hold a current valid medical license. Board certification or similar international certification in Plastic Surgery or Dermatology preferred but not required. Comfortable with giving presentations and speaking in front of large groups. Fluency in English. Ability to work without direct supervision and actively promote services to guests. Excellent communication, listening, and customer‑service skills. Friendly and outgoing personality with the ability to give effective presentations on Medi‑Spa services. Basic computer knowledge and team‑player attitude. Key Responsibilities Be on time for work and prompt for each appointment. Provide consistent professional Medi‑Spa services and treatments in accordance with OneSpaWorld’s protocols. Conduct patient follow‑up as required. Be flexible with scheduling to support the needs of the spa and guests. Care for equipment and use proper amounts of product/supplies to assist with cost control. Follow the service pricing policy set by OneSpaWorld. Before all services, complete a medical record for each guest and store it in the Spa Manager’s office or designated location for the required period. Cross‑promote other spa services. Uphold sanitation and sterilization standards as directed by ship and company policy. Properly clean and restock the Medi‑Spa treatment room as required. Manage medical product and supply inventory. Communicate any occurrences involving staff or guests to management promptly. Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously. Provide accurate and immediate responses to all guest requests. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment. Attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa (embedment and sea‑day). Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management. Train new spa staff in Medi‑Spa services and cross‑promotion skills, ensuring confidence and competence. Follow Medi‑Spa Operations Policies. Email daily reports and inventory reports with every end‑of‑cruise report. General Guidelines For all guests, doctors must review the consultation information with them prior to the service. All guests receiving treatments must complete required consent forms and doctors must complete a medical record for each guest. At conclusion of treatment, review After‑care instructions with the guest, provide a copy, thank them, schedule a follow‑up appointment, and assist with front‑desk scheduling. Clean your treatment room and prepare for the next guest; the room should look the same at start and end of each day. End‑of‑Day Checklist Dispose of open unused needles. Dispose of the bio‑hazard bag if full. Take the sharps container to the medical facility if full. Sterilize table and countertops. Fill out inventory control form. Email daily revenue report to the shore‑side team. Service Booking Policy A clean, non‑intimidating, state‑of‑the‑art, and stress‑free environment is the goal for both guests and staff. Medi‑Spa Physicians may only be booked for services for which they are qualified to administer. All staff must perform general duties – promotional duties, port cleaning, staff meetings, training, and stock inventory – as directed by the Spa Manager. Guest requests cannot be changed without Spa Manager approval. Safety & Sanitisation (GPS) Be familiar with OneSpaWorld’s GPS safety guidelines. Understand and practice the required self‑screening procedures. Follow procedures for symptomatic guests or employees. Adhere to the Physical Distancing, Personal Hygiene, and Hand‑Washing policies. Arrive at the spa 5‑10 minutes prior to shift start time. Understood proper use and disposal of PPE for the modality. Use approved disinfectants as per contact time, method, and storage guidelines. Follow Treatment Room Preparation and Sanitisation policies for modalities and spa areas. Maintain the Sanitation Log and complete logs as required. Adhere to Retail Product Handling, Transferring, and Product Sampling procedures.
