We are looking for the right candidate to take in the role of Senior HSE Advisor. This is a full-time role, based in our Port Macquarie Shipyard on the beautiful Hastings River in NSW. Position Overview The Senior HSE Advisor role is to provide expert guidance across health, safety, and environmental domains, ensuring that organisational systems meet regulatory and ISO standards while supporting continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities HSE communication, consultation and coaching to employees and other members of the HSE team. Driving a culture of safe work and environmental sustainability. Lead the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC) function. Incident reporting and leading ICAM investigations. Dangerous Goods management. Coordinate relevant HSE regulatory licencing requirements. HSE input into the bids and tenders function. Monthly HSE trend analysis and reporting into project and business management. Coordination of the local site Emergency Response Team and provide advice to other site’s teams. Facilitate and share Chair duties for Safety Committee meetings. Develop HSE related documented processes and provide expert advice for others producing HSE documented processes. Participate in the HSE internal training program. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Strong commitment to HSE principles. At least 5 years’ experience in the HSE field. Good working knowledge of relevant HSE related Australian legislation and experience within an operational context. Exceptional communication and report writing skills to convey complex information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
