Closing date is 17 November 2025 Service Manager We are seeking an experienced leader with a background in managing diverse teams at a senior level to join our leadership group. This management role will oversee a defined portfolio within the Children, Young People, and Families Directorate, including CAMHS, the Community Eating Disorder Service, and The Beacon. The post holder will be located at the Douglas House and Brookside site in Cambridge and will lead and develop dynamic and committed teams that contribute to shaping services for children, families and young people. In this role you will ensure safe, high‑quality care, governance and performance and work to improve service‑user experience across each service. This must be achieved within allocated resources and aligned with Trust objectives. The post holder will provide leadership and expertise to deliver services within an agreed service model, working with other Service Managers, service users and carers, and other stakeholders, maintaining effective working relationships within the teams and Directorate. Ensure that services are delivered within a robust clinical governance framework, monitoring and evaluating standards of care routinely in accordance with Trust governance arrangements. Promote an ongoing process of service improvement within the teams. Participate in the development and redesign of services with support from the Directorate Senior Leadership Team. Provide leadership within the team, supporting and developing the team to provide effective services. Maintain an appropriate working environment. Investigate and respond to comments/complaints/incidents in line with the Trust policy and take appropriate action. Person Specification Education / Qualifications Degree or equivalent experience Experience Extensive experience as a senior professional or manager Evidence of successful working within multi‑disciplinary teams Evidence of excellent understanding of CAMHS services, models and outcomes Evidence of clinical supervision training &/or experience Evidence of effective working with service users, carers and other key partners – internal and external Experience of operational management of teams Experience in or managing CAMH services or related children’s services or related adult mental health services Experience of working with wider stakeholder groups Experience in research and/or service evaluation work Skills & Abilities Knowledge of policy and legislation relating to mental health and social care services Excellent understanding of CAMHS clinical models Evidence of leadership ability, able to influence, involve and develop individuals and teams Ability to use performance management information and demonstrate understanding of performance information Excellent IT skills. Ability to develop and manage databases, develop reports and presentations Experience in audit Experience managing feedback, investigation of complaints or similar Good interpersonal skills and the ability to foster good inter‑team/inter‑agency working relationships Committed to personal and team development Other Demonstrate understanding of acceptance and commitment to the principles underlying equal opportunities Willingness to embrace integrated model and new ways of working Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
