Civil Project Engineer - Demolitions A$55.00/hr - A$90.00/hr Are you a Project Engineer seeking a fresh start in 2026? If you have experience in Civil Infrastructure Projects and Demolitions, this might be for you About the Company Our client is a major asset owner, managing a large portfolio of buildings and civil infrastructure. Responsible for maintaining a key part of Victoria's strategic transport network, this company provides a safe and inclusive working environment with opportunities to be part of a range of vital and challenging projects. About the Role As a Project Engineer working with the Major Projects team, you will be assisting Senior Project Engineers & Project Managers with the delivery of major capital works across a range of civil infrastructure projects. The initial project will focus heavily on the safe demolition and site clearing of existing infrastructure. This will be a six (6) month contract commencing in January 2026 with the possibility to be extended or become a permanent role. Your key responsibilities include: Assist team members to scope, plan and execute allocated works packages to ensure quality, on time delivery and within budget. This requires an understanding of project management skills including planning, estimating, contract management and administration, site supervision and cost control. Support in project and contract administration, technical specifications and reporting. Monitor project progress, control costs and prepare monthly progress reports with respect to compliance and set requirements to support best outcomes and provide clear communications to all key stakeholders. Ensure projects are managed to internal technical standards and quality assurance programs. Identify gaps, changes or improvements to these standards and programs. Conduct risk assessments and prep file notes and other internal documentation to ensure activities are logged, actioned and filed for future reference. Identify and assess opportunities for optimisation of the project through the construction phase. Maintain and promote a strong focus on safety. Ideally you will have: Bachelor's in Civil Engineering. Demonstrated experience with civil infrastructure demolition projects. Previous experience managing contractors/subcontractors on major projects. Valid Victorian Driver's Licence. Strong communication and relationship management skills.
