About the Company Our client is an international leader in logistics and freight forwarding with a global reach of over 100 countries. As a result of recent acquisitions and significant expansion, new vacancies are available for their team in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Costing Analyst for our client based in Tullamarine, Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing and interpreting financial data, identify cost saving opportunities, develop budgets with a forecast for future expenses and ensure projects costs is within budget. You will work with other departments, prepare cost reports and propose cost effective solutions and strategies. Key Responsibilities Manage internal cost management systems and reporting tools. Assist with budgeting and quarterly forecasting. Support cashflow forecasting and modelling. Analyse trends and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Assist with procurement reviews, pricing, and commercial decisions. Track project costs. Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis. Support project managers with commercial insights, cost tracking, and risk identification. Review supplier and subcontractor claims and validate accuracy. Coordinate with payroll, payables, and accounts to ensure accurate cost allocation. About You We are looking for someone with: Previous experience as a Costing Analyst, preferably within freight forwarding, supply chain logistics or similar. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel. Strong attention to detail and able to multitask to meet deadlines. Excellent people skills and the ability to work in a team and independently.
