Responsibilities Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of regulatory matters specific to the Australian market, including licensing, compliance, and regulatory developments impacting the company’s operations locally and across the APAC region. Draft, review, and submit regulatory filings, strategic plans, and responses to regulatory inquiries to Australian regulatory authorities such as ASIC, AUSTRAC, and other relevant bodies. Support the development and implementation of the company’s long‑term regulatory strategy in Australia, ensuring alignment with global and regional compliance frameworks. Monitor and interpret changes in Australian laws and regulations related to financial services, cryptocurrency, fintech, and related sectors to proactively advise business teams and ensure ongoing compliance. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including compliance, risk, and business teams, to embed regulatory best practices and mitigate legal risks. Manage and contribute to the APAC legal and compliance program with a focus on Australian regulatory requirements. Provide training and guidance to internal teams on regulatory obligations and emerging legal issues in Australia. Requirements Qualified and admitted to practice law in Australia. 5‑8 years of post‑qualification experience, preferably with a strong focus on regulatory, investigations or litigation experience within Australia. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice in a fast‑paced environment.
