Board Member and Clinical Governance Committee Advisor Expression of Interest – Board Member and Clinical Governance Committee Advisor The Riverwood Community Centre Pty Ltd, an award-winning Organisation of the Year, serving the community for over 50 years, is seeking an individual who is a Registered Nurse with experience in residential aged care management, and who shares our values and vision for quality, innovation, and community service. Key Duties Serve as a member of the Clinical Governance Committee, providing oversight of clinical safety, quality, and compliance within the Centre's aged care programs. Attend monthly Board meetings (held on the last Wednesday of each month). Review and provide input on reports prepared by the Aged Care & Disability Services Manager. Support the Board in implementing governance obligations under Aged Care Quality Standard 8 – Organisational Governance. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) qualification and registration in Australia. Demonstrated experience in aged care, clinical governance, or community health. Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and compliance frameworks. Clinical literacy and ability to review and advise on service quality and care outcomes. Experience in medication management, clinical supervision, or aged care leadership. Familiarity with not-for-profit governance and aged care regulation. Remuneration While all Board roles are voluntary and honorary, the Clinical Governance Advisory Committee member shall receive an honorarium and reasonable allowance of AUD $300 per quarterly meeting for specific professional services that fall outside the normal scope of Board duties, such as providing specialised consultancy or technical advice to the Clinical Governance Committee.
