Airport Screening Officer

Wellcamp Airport is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Security Screening team. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and visitors, while maintaining compliance with Transport Security Regulations. You'll play a key part in delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic aviation environment where safety and professionalism are paramount. Key tasks and responsibilities Conduct security screening of passengers, baggage, and airport personnel. Identify and resolve security risks in a professional and compliant manner. Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication during the screening process. Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and compliance documentation. Support emergency procedures and maintain readiness to respond to security-related incidents. Ensure security areas are maintained to a high standard at all times. About you Professional presentation and high personal integrity. Team‑orientated with a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety and service standards. Flexibility to work shift rosters including weekends and public holidays. Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening and obtain ASIC clearance. Previous experience in aviation or security (desirable). Certificate II in Transport Security protection (desirable). Willingness to learn and obtain required on‑the‑job training and certificates. Penalty allowances are applicable to the role. Wagner Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
