QR_ is currently expanding its activity in Australia and we are looking for a Electrical Engineer to join our Sydney team. Responsibilities Provide high level of electrical engineering technical competence based on relevant experience and knowledge. Complete electrical systems design for naval ship systems, applying robust systems engineering process. Undertake technical investigations, root cause analysis and solution identification. Integrate platform electrical systems on naval vessels. Deliver technical reports and technical documentation in accordance with customer standards. Work effectively within the broader Engineering Team to engage with different engineering disciplines in the development of new naval ship system designs. Plan and coordinate assigned engineering projects from concept through to delivery, including the development of project plans, schedule and engagement of internal and external stakeholders. Follow State WHSE Acts, Regulations and accountability with leadership for the safety and wellbeing of staff and their commitment to protect the environment. Exercise due diligence by taking reasonable steps to acquire and keep up‑to‑date knowledge of work health and safety & Environmental matters and ensuring information regarding incidents, hazards and risks is received as soon as practicable and action is implemented in a timely way. Must have Minimum 4 years’ experience as a professional engineer Proven skills and experience in a electrical engineering function. Experience in a technical and industrial Defence environment. Experience with electrical and control systems on a naval ship platform, including medium voltage power design and analysis up to 440VAC. Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision‑making skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high‑pressure environment. Ability to manage, prioritise and complete multiple tasks concurrently. Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships at all levels of the business and Clients.
