Ensuring the reliability of assets and equipment and to improve environmental compliance, safety and service levels, while reducing maintenance costs. This role will also take customers calls outside of normal working hours and lead work teams and coordinate resources after hours. The role is critical for the implementation of the Townsville Water operations and customer strategies and will improve the coordination of resources, which will result in reduced reactive maintenance, increased maintenance efficiency, cost reduction and improved compliance and levels of service. This position will work a rotating, even time shift to cover the full 24 hours each day, 365 (6) days a year. Shifts are rostered for 12.25 hours (12 hours and 15 minutes), including a handover. The night shifts will be predominantly worked alone. The ability to self-manage and be proactive will also be important for this position. About You Our ideal candidate will have: Relevant trade qualification highly desirable or equivalent industry experience. Substantial experience with SCADA systems and the operation of water and wastewater assets. Ability to use Technology 1 system (CES and Property & Ratings) and knowledge of CLIVE, TARDIS, Paradigm, Guardian, Townsville Maps and Plan Index. Planning, organising skills and experience with coordination of resources in an operational role, including demonstrated experience in using maintenance planning tools and techniques. Experience and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience in and knowledge of disaster management in the water industry. Good interpersonal skills to liaise with all levels of staff in the field and management. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including report writing and sound analytical skills to interpret, analyse and report on data. High level of computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, and Outlook and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
