Casual Hospitality & Receptionist Roles available The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron is seeking experienced, confident, vibrant and friendly individuals to join our team in casual reception and hospitality roles. If you enjoy working in a busy, fast paced environment and pride yourself on exceptional customer service and strong multitasking abilities, we’d love to hear from you Our front of house team play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Club. These positions require genuine availability for night shifts (7.30pm and later), weekends and public holidays. Weekly hours will vary, with a minimum of 20 hours per week. Only candidates who can commit to these hours will be considered. Key Responsibilities Greeting and assisting members, guests and visitors Data entry and general administration Managing access passes, trades and contractor access and administration, taking payments and follow up calls Providing information on membership, marina facilities and events Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and Liquor Licensing sign in requirements Delivering high quality service Maintaining responsible service of alcohol standards Assisting with functions, member events and daily bistro service Providing warm, professional service in all front of house areas Qualifications Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents only Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills Professional presentation Excellent time management and multitasking capabilities Confident communication and phone manner Prior experience in reception, bar or a similar customer facing role Reliable transport and ability to cover shifts at short notice Demonstrated ability to work as a supportive team member Proficient in Microsoft Office (Reception applicants) RSA certification or willingness to obtain (Hospitality applicants) Genuine availability for nights, weekends and public holidays Knowledge of or interest in boating and sailing Experience in a licensed club or hospitality environment Experience with club based systems or POS platforms To Apply Please email your cover letter and resume, including at least two referees, to: Your application will include the following questions: Are you available to work outside your usual hours when required?
