We are looking for our next Assistant Venue Manager at the iconic Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel in Sydney, located on the sandy shores of one of the city’s most renowned harbor beaches. Key Responsibilities Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional service and quality products. Build and develop a team that fits within the culture and skill expectations for the venue. Drive team product knowledge to uphold high standards of quality and guest satisfaction. Monitor and report metrics on guest reviews, identifying opportunities for improvement and recognising outstanding performance. Strategically manage labour percentage to optimise operational efficiency while controlling costs. Maintain the venue’s impeccable presentation standards, including cleanliness, organisation, and visual appeal. Encourage team development through coaching, mentoring, and providing growth opportunities. Uphold compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and industry standards, including Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements. Qualifications Previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-volume bar and/or hotel. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to the hospitality industry, including RSA. Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
