You will be the heartbeat of our Enterprise SIP Platform, ensuring reliability, interoperability and seamless billing for wholesale and enterprise customers. This is a hands‑on role with real influence across vendors, finance, engineering teams and customers who rely on our platform every day. About the Team You will join a high performing Collaboration team of around 25 specialists across Melbourne and the Philippines. The team delivers both Professional Services and Managed Services and is cross‑skilled across core collaboration technologies. Tenure is strong; churn is low and the environment is supportive, connected and rich with learning opportunities. What You’ll Be Doing Platform Support and Maintenance Keep the Enterprise SIP Platform running smoothly through hands‑on technical support, proactive maintenance and fast issue resolution. You will diagnose and resolve complex SIP challenges, manage vendor escalations and deliver clear incident reporting that drives continual improvement: Own platform availability, performance monitoring and rapid issue resolution Apply updates and patches while troubleshooting complex SIP and interoperability issues Manage vendor escalations and deliver concise incident analysis that informs future prevention Ensuring Integration and Documentation Ensure the SIP platform plays flawlessly with surrounding systems. You will be the go‑to expert for validating integrations, managing SIP trunks and maintaining clean, reliable documentation: Validate end‑to‑end SIP interoperability across telephony and communication systems Configure and manage upstream SIP trunks and supporting components Maintain precise documentation that supports consistent engineering standards Billing and Finance Collaboration Be the link between technology and accurate customer billing. You will manage CDR workflows, automate processes and work closely with finance to ensure every charge is timely and correct: Own billing integrations, including CDR imports, exports and workflow automation Partner with finance to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies quickly Provide clear reporting to support supplier negotiations and customer pricing Technical Expertise and Consultancy Share your SIP depth with teams and customers. You’ll guide engineering peers, run training sessions and advise on emerging tools, standards and best practice: Provide expert SIP guidance to internal teams and wholesale clients Run training and knowledge sessions that lift capability across the team Evaluate new technologies and help shape the platform’s technical direction Vendor Management Drive performance and accountability from our telecommunications and software partners: Manage vendor relationships and track adherence to SLAs Support vendor evaluation, selection and ongoing performance reviews Process Improvement and Documentation Strengthen the way the platform operates by refining processes, improving clarity and introducing automation where it matters: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate SIP platform operations Maintain high quality documentation and contribute to better internal processes Security and Compliance Keep the platform secure and compliant. You will embed best practices, support assessments and implement controls that protect our customers and our environment: Ensure the platform meets security and regulatory standards Coordinate assessments and implement controls that mitigate risk Customer Support and Interaction Be the trusted escalation point for complex SIP issues and build strong relationships with customers who rely on the platform every day: Resolve escalated technical issues directly with customers Build strong long‑term relationships that shape a great support experience Work closely with support teams to uplift consistency and service quality Key Stakeholders Internal: Service Delivery Managers, Principals, Solutions Architects and Senior Engineers, Collaboration Delivery, Ops Team & Finance Billing Team External: Enterprise and wholesale clients, Telecommunications vendors and software providers What You’ll Bring Minimum five years of experience in the IT or Telecommunications industry Strong technical expertise in the SIP protocol and hands‑on experience supporting SIP based platforms Practical experience maintaining high availability platforms including monitoring, troubleshooting and root cause analysis Knowledge of SIP interoperability across telephony systems and experience configuring upstream SIP trunks Understanding of telco billing fundamentals including CDR processes and billing accuracy Experience working with vendors in an operational capacity including SLA management and escalations Ability to communicate clearly with enterprise and wholesale customers when resolving technical issues Bonus Points Strong capability in integrating or deploying Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex or Contact Centre solutions Depth across VoIP softswitches, PBXs and SBCs including PortaSIP, FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, FreePBX, FusionPBX, 3CX, Bicom PBXware, Cisco CUCM, AudioCodes, Ribbon and Cisco CUBE Solid understanding of telecommunications billing including automation, tooling and reporting Confident building scripts or automation to enhance platform or billing workflows Actively contributes to process improvement, documentation and team knowledge sharing Certifications Relevant technical certifications will be viewed highly, including: SIP School SBC related certifications such as AudioCodes, Ribbon or Cisco CUBE Even if you don’t tick every box, don’t let that hold you back.
