Senior Software Engineer

The Commonwealth Bank is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Customer Experience Squad, driving customer engagement through intelligent automation and cutting‑edge AI within the Power Platform ecosystem. Responsibilities Lead development projects to build advanced custom components and integrations using TypeScript, React, and Azure services. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and implement Power Platform solutions. Develop and maintain Azure Functions, integrating with Application Gateway, Azure Logic App, and Service Bus. Create and optimize business processes using code‑first approaches. Explore, evaluate, and implement new AI functionalities, extending solutions to leverage Azure AI Foundry capabilities. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions. Conduct regular performance tuning, security reviews, and system upgrades. Ensure solution quality through thorough testing and comprehensive documentation. Stay current with new trends and technologies in the software development and AI landscape. Qualifications Senior‑level proficiency in TypeScript and React. Strong hands‑on experience with Azure services including Azure Functions, Application Gateway, Entra ID, and Logic Apps. 5+ years of senior‑level software development experience with modern web technologies. Proficient in REST APIs, web services integration, and microservices architecture. Experience in AI integration and cloud services. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry (Azure AI Search, Agent Service) is desired. Interest in learning and working with Microsoft Power Platform. Azure certifications (AZ‑204, AZ‑400, or equivalent) are a bonus. Experience or interest in building AI‑powered business applications is a plus.
