About the role This Forklift Operator role involves daily responsibilities in the production yard, including the safe and efficient loading and unloading of materials and performing various support tasks within the facility to ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts to lift, stack, unstack, and move raw materials, finished goods, and building structures within the site safely and efficiently. Conduct daily equipment pre-start checks, maintain records, and coordinate necessary repairs or maintenance. Load and unload transport vehicles, ensuring loads are evenly distributed, secure, and properly stored in designated factory areas for easy access. Liaise with transport companies and drivers to manage yard logistics and ensure accurate paperwork processing. Return materials to stock and assist store personnel as needed. Perform general forklift and yard duties, including manual tasks related to building refurbishment, installation, and site preparation. Operate a range of hand and power tools under management direction. Erect and dismantle temporary site structures such as braces, barricades, ramps, and fencing. Gather, load, unload, and distribute building materials in line with project plans and specifications. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the business. About You Minimum 3 years of previous experience in a similar role. Building or manufacturing industry experience. Strong focus on safety and quality control. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Capable of working both as part of a team and independently. Physically capable to undertake the requirements of the role. Requirements A current valid Australian driver's license. Current high-risk forklift license. Current construction card (white card). Desired Qualifications Forklift VOC. EWPyellow card.
