Join us to help shape the quantum future. About The Role We are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join the growing Quantum Sensing division at our laboratories in Sydney, Australia. This role will support the development of new quantum sensor prototypes designed for magnetic and inertial navigation. As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will provide technical leadership over hardware projects, taking responsibility for technical deliverables from the initial architecture through field trials to product certification. You will mentor engineers and technicians and drive continuous improvement of our hardware development practices. What you’ll be doing You will focus on demonstrating quantum sensing for Aerospace, Defence, geophysical exploration and Earth observation. You will architect, miniaturise, and ruggedise bench‑top prototypes for operation in the field and eventual productisation. You will manage the delivery of complex hardware prototypes, taking responsibility for the technical quality, performance, and reliability of the hardware. You are a domain expert in analogue and mixed‑signal design. You will lead and mentor hardware engineers and technicians as a senior member of the sensing hardware team. Ideally you’ll have A bachelor’s, master’s or PhD in physics, engineering or equivalent industry experience. A demonstrated track‑record of delivering high‑quality analogue and mixed‑signal designs at a staff level. Experience in RF and optoelectronic devices is highly desirable. R&D experience working concurrently with scientists and engineers. Experience taking designs from prototype to production, including design for manufacture and product certification.
