Medical Receptionist

We are looking for experienced Receptionists. Additional training and opportunities will be available for the right candidate. The Role Experience in medical admin or desire to move into specialist clinics. Permanent or full‑time, immediate start. Hourly rates above award rate per hour plus superannuation (salary negotiable). Duties and Responsibilities Provide comprehensive support to patients and specialists. Ensure all processes and procedures are met. Share administrative duties with existing medical receptionist. Process patient billings and handle patient enquiries, bookings via telephone and face‑to‑face. Maintain patient records using practice software. Maintain scanning and filing. Maintain the clinic's cleanliness. Attributes and Qualifications Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical, hospital or specialist environment highly desirable; admin/reception background from other industries may be considered. Dynamic, enthusiastic, self‑motivated and thrives in fast‑paced environment. Excited and passionate about being part of a growing clinic. Professional, outstanding customer service skills and values aligned with the organisation. Ability to adapt to varying work styles and situations; flexible approach to work. Forward planner, can analyse situations and provide solutions quickly. Excellent time management and organisational skills. High level of communication and interpersonal skills. Team player culture importance. Experience with MediRecord software desirable but not required. Front office patient billings, quoting for consultations and procedures, practice scheduling, scanning and filing. Computer skills – proficient with Microsoft programs. Other Requirements Valid QLD C class driver’s licence. Current Blue Card (working with children and young people) or AHPRA registration if required. Satisfactory Police Check. Hours and Salary The “Family Nurture” clinic is open weekdays from 8 am‑5 pm, except Wednesdays 8 am‑8 pm. Also open on Saturdays 8 am‑1 pm. Please only apply if you can fulfil these hours and work across both locations if required. You will be employed according to the Health Professionals and Support Services Award. You will pay at the award rates after probation period complete and according to your skill level. Application Process Submit CV and at least two recent referees.
