Responsibilities Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from designing and building robust solutions to deploying and monitoring them in production. Tackle complex technical challenges with a high degree of autonomy, bringing innovative and "outside‑the‑box" solutions to the team. Collaborate closely with your squad to define technical requirements and architect scalable, high‑performance systems. Write clean, well‑tested code in our primary stack, while also maintaining and modernising our legacy applications. Instill a culture of strong ownership and accountability for the software you build. Be a champion for the customer experience, ensuring every technical decision you make has a positive impact on the end user. Understand the critical role of monitoring and observability and ensure our applications are well‑instrumented. The Ideal Toolbox Significant hands‑on experience in full stack software engineering, building scalable and resilient applications. Deep proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js, with backend experience in NestJS and Java. Good understanding of testing frameworks such as Jest, performance testing and E2E testing. Extensive experience with cloud platforms, ideally GCP or AWS. Proven knowledge of software architecture and best practices for cloud‑native applications. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automating deployment processes. A solid understanding of monitoring, observability and tools that ensure application health and performance. Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform. About You A strong passion for engineering and a curiosity that drives you to continuously learn and improve your craft. Someone who actively looks for new solutions and challenges the status quo. Role Location While this role can be performed from anywhere in Australia, being Sydney‑based is a bonus.
