We are seeking a full-time or part-time qualified
Nursery Specialist Educator
to join us.As an advocate for our Nursery, you will oversee our Orchard Nursery Programme that is inspired by Magda Gerber’s RIE approach. This role will assist the Director/ Nominated Supervisor to provide guidance and support educators to our Nursery Team in line with our current curriculum and EduCaring Approaches. This position will also be a priority for RIE-related training within our organisation, including official RIE course, certification and consultations with RIE Associates engaged by Orchard ELC.
At Orchard, we are happy to provide a flexible work arrangement for the right candidate. With our focus on people development, we will also encourage you to attend external Professional Development, and provide approved paid support for your qualification and for ECTs, we will support your NESA accreditation requirements.
In addition, you will receive ongoing mentoring and professional support from our Manager of Pedagogy and Practice. We also provide opportunity for networking and collaborating opportunities with other Leaders within the organisation.

About your skillsClear and articulated experience working with children from 0-5 yearsExperience in an RIE setting or Circle of Security is favourableExcellent knowledge of EYLF and NQSEstablished people and leadership skillsStrong understanding of educational theoriesCommitment and skill in providing quality experiences and inviting learning environments for childrenDemonstrated theoretical and practical knowledge of child development and playExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including documentation skillsUnderstanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene, and nutritional needsMinimum 3 years of full-time experience in Early Child EducationSponsorship available for this positionAbout your qualificationsDiploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching or other similarly ECT recognised qualification by ACECQAWWC check, current first aid, and CPR qualificationA recently completed a child protection course/refresher
