Specialist Homelessness Support (SHS) – Support Worker Pathfinders is a large community‑based organisation providing Supported Accommodation and Homelessness services, Family and Youth Support services, National Aboriginal Birth Certificate programme, Client Support Services and Out‑of‑Home Care services. Services are located across the Mid North Coast, New England and North West regions of NSW. We are currently seeking part‑time Support Workers to join the Armidale Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) team providing outreach support as well as support in the Youth Refuge. Role of the SHS Support Worker This role primarily supports young people in breaking the cycle of homelessness and assists those at risk to remain in long‑term, safe accommodation. You will work directly with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and CALD communities, applying trauma‑informed and culturally responsive practices. The outreach role requires active collaboration with local service providers and community organisations. This role has an “on‑call” component that will be discussed at time of interview. This position is Level 4 and Pay Point 1 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Modern Award (the SCHDSI Award).
