Experienced Montessori Diploma Room Leader – Join our Team Location : The Gap, Position Room Leader (Full-Time or Part-Time) Salary: $75,000 + ECECWRP $10,000 approx + super Start Date: December A bout the business The Gap Cubbyhouse Montessori (TGCM) is a 95 place family‑owned child care centre. We engage a holistic approach using our partnership with families to support the children's learning through Montessori. About the role We are looking for a Montessori trained Room Leader to join our team for either immediate, after Term 4 or 5th January start. As a Room Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth daily running of your room and creating a nurturing, stimulating environment where children can thrive. You will lead by example, support your team, and work closely with senior leadership to uphold high standards of education, safety, and care. Lead and mentor a team of educators within your room, supporting room educators in their Montessori journey through guidance and example Develop and maintain meaningful positive relationships and partnerships with children, families and fellow team members Create strong alliances and relationships with the community and surrounding networks Be a strategic thinker who can support and communicate in partnership with all stakeholders the vision of Cubbyhouse Montessori Be knowledgeable and experienced implementing best practices in Montessori and an awareness of contemporary education Understand and interpret the relevant industry regulations and legislation, including NQS, EYLF, and the Montessori philosophy Oversee observations, assessments and individual learning plans Maintain a well‑organised, inviting learning environment, ensuring that the room presentation is maintained to the highest standard Qualifications and experience An ACECQA recognised diploma or certificate III in Education (Early Childhood) Experience within the Early Childhood sector Experience in a Montessori setting Current Working with Children Check Confident in NQS, EYLF and Montessori philosophy Passionate, patient and committed to children's development Reliable, proactive and natural team leader A strong inclusive team member, ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders, and articulate well verbally and in writing An established centre with the best, most enthusiastic and the most kind staff you could ask for Above award salary package commensurate with experience Approved for the ECEC workers retention grant Ongoing Montessori training and professional development opportunities Permanent part-time or full-time, ability to work 4 to 5 days a week or a 9 day fortnight Great company culture that is fun, professional, and supportive of all team members If you think you have the potential, we would love to hear from you.
