APS 6 - Cyber Security Advice and Assessment Analyst Australian Department of Defence – Richmond NSW Salary: $95,187 - $108,734 + 15% BDCP + up to 15.4% Superannuation Location: Richmond, NSW The Role As deputy to the Cyber Security Advice and Assessment Manager, you will lead the delivery of Air Mobility Group (AMG) ICT network planning, provisioning, cyber governance, risk, compliance, and cyber workforce health utilizing a diverse team. In this capacity you will deliver assurance of the cyber resilience of Air Mobility enterprise capabilities, inclusive of Operational Technologies and Information Technologies. As an ICT Security Specialist, your work will involve complex information security tasks. Responsibilities Provide guidance and implement compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision‑making, and policy requirements. Deliver detailed information security technical, professional, and policy advice; undertake complex work and contribute to strategic planning. Exercise people and financial responsibilities to achieve work outcomes. Engage stakeholders at a considerable level and anticipate/respond to their needs and expectations. Coach or lead team members where appropriate. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. About our Team Air Mobility Group (AMG) operates six aircraft types in a range of roles covering air logistics support, airborne operations, and air‑to‑air refueling. The team also supports aero‑medical evacuation missions, search and rescue, and other tasks. Flying squadrons are located at RAAF Bases Richmond, Amberley and Defence Establishment Fairbairn. Headquarters Air Mobility Group at RAAF Base Richmond administers No. 84 Wing and No. 86 Wing, along with the Air Mobility Control Centre and Air Mobility Training and Development Unit. The AMG A6 team is a small section comprised of military and civilian personnel located Richmond NSW and Amberley QLD, with additional contracted staff footprint at other major AMG unit locations in QLD and ACT.
