Senior Claims Advisor

Description We are seeking a talented individual to join our Financial Lines team at Marsh . We are flexible regarding the location of this role. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Senior Claims Advisor In this role, you will provide high-level expertise and manage claims under Directors & Officers (D&O), Professional Indemnity, and other financial lines classes of business to determine coverage. You will serve as an advisor to a portfolio of SME to Corporate top ASX large clients, building trust, delivering exceptional service, and maintaining effective working relationships. What you will do Handle specialist financial lines claims with a focus on client advocacy. Provide high-quality technical advice and support to clients, from the first notification for submission to the insurer through to final settlement, ensuring the client’s best interests are always protected. Offer technical advice to clients and brokers on policy coverage and interpretation, advocating for clients in relation to insurer indemnity denials. Respond to queries from brokers and clients, conducting meetings and liaising with clients, insurers, claimants, and external providers. Manage moderate to complex claims in accordance with the company’s processes and Client Service Agreements. Identify opportunities for claims referral and collaborate with our Advocacy team on claims issues. What you need to have Ideally someone with 3-5 years of insurance claims experience, preferably in financial lines. A Law Degree is essential. Experience in the legal environment and / or ANZIIF qualifications. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to maintain and strengthen relationships with clients, insurers, and their respective agents and representatives.
