The underground mine represents one of the world's cleanest and largest lead‑silver projects. Join Our Growing Team We're seeking a Mine Geologist to join our dynamic operations team for a fixed term 6 month contract. We are ideally seeking a Mine Geologist with 1‑2 years relevant experience, with a minimum of 1 year underground exposure. In this role you will undertake underground mine geology activities, including but not limited to grade control (face mapping, face sampling, core logging), geological modelling and assist in the planning and implementation of drilling programs. You will take ownership of core processing, logging, validation and sampling. Your Key Responsibilities Assisting with the development of grade control and underground procedures. Daily validation of underground ore movements. Face mapping and sampling. Campaign backs mapping. Structural and geological interpretation onto large‑scale mapping. Taking ownership of core logging and improving core data systems. Validation of core logging to industry best practice. Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving geological interpretations of the Abra ore system. Reporting on geological activities to the Senior Mine Geologist and Geology Superintendent. Assisting with the compilation of end‑of‑month reports, key statistics, and reconciliation data. Assisting with and developing QA/QC tracking, documentation, and lab audits. Contributing and maintaining structural and lithological wireframes for use within the mine. Completing regular workplace inspections on both surface and underground. Fulfilling Project Mine Geologist duties in their absence and appointment. Championing workplace safety and fostering a positive safety culture. Essential Requirements Bachelor's degree in Science, Geology, Applied Geology or a similar field. 1‑2 years relevant experience. Minimum 1 year underground exposure. Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence. 4X4 wheel‑drive competency. The Ideal Candidate Your work ethic is reliable, consistent, and detailed. You understand the Mines Safety & Inspection Act & Regulations, have a good understanding of ore‑forming processes and 3‑D modelling techniques, and a demonstrated background in data management and validation processes. You are collaborative, a genuine team player, bring a positive attitude, can‑do approach to every shift, and are committed to going home safely every day.
