HSE Specialist – Onshore Gas Operations – 12 month contract

NES Fircroft have partnered with a global oilfield services business, providing specialist consulting and equipment to the oil & gas industry in Australia. Our client has a new requirement for HSE Specialist to commence on an initial 12-month contract, with a view to extend.

The position will be a Monday to Friday role, working Monday to Wednesday in the field – located in Moomba and Thursday to Friday in the office in Brisbane CBD. Flights and accommodation will be arranged by the client.

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with frontline and management teams to instill a culture of HSE responsibility throughout the organization.Provide coaching and mentorship to supervisors and managers, empowering them to cultivate a robust HSE culture and uphold accountability within their respective areas.Partner with local and regional HSE teams and subject matter experts to address specific risks inherent to our major Oil & Gas supply base operations.Contribute to emergency response planning and execution, including the development and upkeep of procedures and training initiatives.Design and deliver HSE awareness programs and workforce engagement initiatives as needed.Place a special emphasis on promoting mental health and well-being within the workforce.

Qualifications / Requirements:

NEBOSH or Cert 4 in OHS Certificate or equivalentBachelor's degree from an accredited university or collegeStrong oral and written communication skills.5 years minimum experience working within the oil & gas industry or mining industry
