About the Role Ventia is seeking individuals with a flexible mindset and strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly, manage conflict calmly, and navigate challenging situations with confidence. Our Care & Custody officers are respectful, non-judgemental, and committed to treating everyone with dignity and fairness. Casual Opportunities – Mount Gambier Ideal for candidates seeking ad hoc work during peak operational hours. Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster is essential, with availability for weekends and night shifts. This position supports a 24 / 7 operational environment and may involve coverage across various shifts. Key Responsibilities : Ensure safety and security of Persons in Custody Escort and transport Persons in Custody Provide care in hospital and court settings Requirements : Manual driver’s licence (MR truck licence highly regarded) Willingness to obtain First Aid certification Available for travel (road and air) Australian working rights Ability to pass Police checks, Working with Children Check, and pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol test) You must be available to attend the face-to-face interview sessions which will be held on Tuesday 23rd of September at 9 : 00 AM – 12 : 00 PM.
