Pfizer Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Medical Affairs Scientist (Vaccines) Apply for the Medical Affairs Scientist (Vaccines) role at Pfizer Why Patients Need You Pfizer Medical Affairs colleagues play a key role in connecting evidence-based medical decision support with colleagues and stakeholders to enable better health and treatment outcomes. What You Will Achieve Known internally as the Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS), you will facilitate the interaction and partnership between healthcare professionals (HCPs), medical societies, academia, and Pfizer. You are responsible for leading medical-to-medical communications in the field with HCPs and other customers within a given therapeutic area by providing high-level scientific, clinical and research support. For this role, we are looking for candidates with vaccine experience. How You Will Achieve It Lead proactive and reactive medical-to-medical communications in the field between HCPs and the medical functions within Pfizer Gather and analyze customer insights to help shape Pfizer medical activities that appropriately support customer needs Develop and maintain a comprehensive stakeholder map to identify relevant HCPs, medical societies, and other external Identify and facilitate educational, research and other partnerships between external stakeholders and Pfizer Address field and customer queries on Pfizer medicines and research as well as handle compassionate use requests Serve as a scientific expert and stakeholder manager for HCPs, medical societies, and academia Execute the therapeutic area (TA) strategy under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Field Medical Excellence Contribute to ensuring company's medical compliance Provide support to both Pfizer-sponsored and investigator-sponsored research activities Assist with clinical, regulatory and access support for pipeline and inline assets Qualifications A relevant university degree in science, including healthcare professions Proven experience working as an MSL or deep knowledge of the therapeutic area 2+ years' experience in a scientific and technical capacity interacting with academics, researchers, or the medical profession Strong analytical, interpersonal, and partnering skills Ability to understand and influence in a highly matrixed environment Demonstrated strategic business planning abilities and superior customer management skills Nice to have Medical qualifications or PhD Pharmaceutical industry experience Experience as a Medical Science Liaison or similar Good working knowledge of relevant industry codes of conduct / practice Work Location Remote – Field Based Benefits Paid parental leave Access to Health & Wellness apps Career Growth Experiences program Recognition & rewards program volunteer days Life Insurance Benefits Pfizer Learning Academy access to top content providers Access to flu vaccines & skin checks Options to purchase additional leave Salary packaging & novated lease options Pfizer Australia and New Zealand's diverse workforce represents the patients we serve and the communities in which we operate.
