Overview Join us as a Laundry Attendant at JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa, 158 Ferny Avenue, Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia. This part‑time role supports our housekeeping and restaurant operations by ensuring all linens are washed, pressed, and returned in pristine condition. Responsibilities Ensure correct usage of all laundry equipment. Maintain linen room and equipment cleanliness and repair. Comply with Workplace Health & Safety policies. Wash, dry, press, and fold linen from rooms and outlets. Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning, and drying machinery, adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps. Identify stained or damaged items and determine repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard. Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from machines; place in clean linen carts. Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabric load. Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, filters, and drain trap after each load. Fold cleaned articles into designated size, by hand or using folding machine. Maintain accurate records of items laundered. Qualifications Friendly personality and positive attitude. Good communication skills – ability to develop rapport quickly. Ability to work in a team environment. Flexible working hours availability based on a rotating roster.
