Maintenance Officer

Maintenance Officer - Aged Care Facility Roles available: Maintenance Officer & PCA – shifts can be arranged at the same time/days (This means same time off). This will be a long‑term project with a minimum of 6 weeks and the possibility for extension. We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Officer and PCA to support the upkeep and functionality of our facility. In this hands‑on role, you will perform a variety of general maintenance tasks, ensuring our environment remains safe, well‑maintained, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities Report to the Manager and carry out a range of duties including minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner. Dates Start dates: Either ASAP or 16/12/25 Core Skills Preventative and reactive maintenance experience Basic plumbing (e.g., replacing washers, connecting appliances) Basic electrical knowledge (e.g., testing outlets, replacing batteries) Use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles Ability to identify and report major repair needs Welding stick/MIG – highly desired Grounds & Facility Care Landscaping and garden maintenance Operation of machinery (e.g., lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws) Irrigation and reticulation system maintenance Cleaning and upkeep of facility vehicles Position Requirements Formal trade qualifications or practical work experience demonstrating basic trade skills Current First Aid Certificate Manual license holders will be heavily preferred Minimum of 2 years previous experience in building/site maintenance preferred Demonstrated knowledge of chemical Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and associated safety precautions Experience with hand tools, equipment and safety Referral Bonus Know someone who'd be a great fit?
