Associate Director - Finance Advisory, Risk Consulting A career with our Financial Risk Advisory – CFOA team will provide you with the opportunity to work with clients to deliver compliant, commercial outcomes and develop practical advice on complex accounting, financial and regulatory challenges. Our clients choose us for specialist advisory knowledge and collaborative approach. Responsibilities Develop and enhance financial and regulatory reporting control environment as part of finance function transformation. Design and implement operating models to embed clear accountability and ownership across the end‑to‑end organisation. Help clients embed AI into finance processes to promote effective decision‑making and efficient reporting. Implement robust data governance practices to build trust in data and support high‑quality reporting. Work in cross‑divisional teams on pre and post‑deal finance function set‑up engagements, supporting value and synergies from merger and acquisition activities. Provide technical accounting advice under IFRS, AASB and US GAAP. Qualifications & Experience Relevant tertiary qualifications (CA or equivalent) and experience in audit, advisory or assurance in professional services or financial services sectors. Strong understanding of the AASB framework and/or the Australian regulatory environment (e.g., ASIC, APRA). Prior experience in a finance function or leading large complex finance projects, including financial systems and processes. Experience leading teams and providing training and guidance to build performance. Commercial and analytical mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills and project management abilities. Background in Big 4 environment and finance function experience preferred.
