2+ years' experience in a compliance or operations role Experience within fintech and remittance, ideally with SMEs and individual clients Onsite role – offices in the CBD $90K-140K DOE What you’ll be doing… You’ll manage and optimise day‑to‑day remittance operations, ensuring transactions are accurate, secure, and timely. A key part of the role is onboarding new remittance partners and business clients, including conducting due diligence, reviewing ASIC extracts, and verifying all documentation to meet compliance standards. You will oversee regulatory compliance across AML/CTF obligations, AUSTRAC reporting, and international remittance regulations, while managing floating accounts, monitoring balances, and reconciling funds to maintain operational efficiency and liquidity. The role requires a practical understanding of how remittance works behind the scenes, including fund allocation to payout partners and ensuring funds are released efficiently to recipients across multiple countries. You will identify process improvements, manage risk and fraud, liaise with banking partners and payment providers, and support customer service by resolving escalations and enhancing the client experience. Additionally, you will track KPIs, generate reports, and provide insights to senior management to inform strategic decisions.
