Caseload Midwife - Baggarrook Team 1 Join to apply for the Caseload Midwife - Baggarrook Team 1 role at The Royal Women's Hospital. Salary: $86,684 - $104,379 + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave. Full time, 38 hours per week (on call); fixed term role available for 18 months. About the Role As a Baggarrook Caseload Midwife you will value family‑centred care and work with the community, both within the Women's hospital and with external Aboriginal health services. You’ll care for around 35 women per year and provide backup and support for other midwives in the Baggarrook team. Responsibilities Manage an assigned caseload of pregnant women in an on‑call capacity, providing culturally sensitive care. Work closely within a cohesive caseload group as part of the Maternity Services team. Assess the health status of caseload women through interview and observation. Plan, develop, implement, document and evaluate midwifery and neonatal care in partnership with women and other health professionals. Provide health education for women, families and family supports. Qualifications Registration with AHPRA as a Midwife and a minimum of one year of clinical midwifery experience across the continuum of care. Commitment to a caseload and team care philosophy, and acceptance of rostering and on‑call arrangements. Experience in routine antenatal visits, assessment and triage, intra‑partum and postnatal care. Experience or willingness to learn IVC insertion, FSE, speculum examination, newborn examination and perineal suturing within 12 months. Access to own vehicle or transport.
