IMPORTANCE OF THE ROLE:
The Media Executive will support the above-the-line planning and buying team in the management of client business and represent The Media Store professionally within the marketplace. A Media Executive has at least 12-18 months experience in an agency, has a curious mind, and a passion to learn and grow in the dynamic Media Industry.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE:
Maintains effective relationships with clients, creative agencies, agency stakeholders and media publishers.
Assists buying and planning teams in preparing presentations, confirming media bookings, and sending material instructions to the media on which ads to run.
Provides support to the Planning team in the development of media plans and implementation of buys through admin support.
Researches past online/offline campaigns and results, competitive actions, consumer behaviour and changes to the marketplace.
Understands and interprets research, market data and systems.
Generates appropriate reporting (competitive, performance tracking, budget reporting).
Responsible – through RASCI process for investment, execution measurement across media, digital and other paid channels.
Responsible for media schedule management including creation and maintenance of executable media plans, under the supervision of the Account Manager.
Responsible for ensuring that campaign media budgets are adhered to and correctly reconciled under the supervision of the Account Manager/Finance, including proforma invoice checking against planned/forecast.
Collaborate with client agency partners (advertising/creative, digital) to ensure holistic campaign delivery seamless execution that delivers against client objectives.
Follow the parameters of each client’s process.
Responsible for analysis and responding to client and/or media on all relevant proposals requests.
KEY ATTRIBUTES:
Develops a thorough knowledge of all available data sources within the agency (Nielsen CMV, AQX/AdIntel, eTam/eRam) and is able to tell stories from data i.e. to go beyond the numbers
Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint (mandatory)
Understand the importance of confidentiality and attention to detail
Communicates effectively to manage expectations and elevate challenges to ensure they are dealt with quickly
Follows process but also be able to suggest improvements to the existing process
Demonstrates a willingness to be more client-facing, including developing social and presentation skills
Able to demonstrate independent thinking and self-motivation
Strong communication skills; particularly document writing and presentation skills
Highly organised with effective project and time management skills
Be curious with a hunger to learn, a commitment to growth and achieve their best
