Company Information Overview A growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) delivering IT projects and services into State Government departments. The company partners with government clients to provide tailored capabilities and ensure successful project delivery. Job Title Backend DevOps Developer / DevOps Engineer / Fullstack DevOps (Backend focus). Role Description You will work closely with senior leadership to deliver backend-focused DevOps project outcomes into a State Government department. This is a 4-month contract role requiring a blend of onsite and remote work. Key Responsibilities Deliver backend development and DevOps solutions for government projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved. Design, build, and optimize backend systems and APIs. Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments. Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure site reliability. Balance technical delivery with client-facing consulting and communication. Technical Skills Engineering Practices: Unit, integration, E2E testing; system design & architecture; performance optimization; technical debt management; production monitoring/debugging. 3. Candidate Requirements Experience Level: Mid to senior. Technical Skills: As listed above, with strong backend focus. Education: Relevant industry certifications or technical qualifications preferred. Industry Experience: Prior experience in government projects highly desirable. 4. Performance Expectations Deliver project outcomes within the first 3–6 months. Ensure backend systems are reliable, scalable, and optimized. 6.
