You must have extensive experience in a similar role, excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, and a professional and friendly communication style. Responsibilities: Provide excellent patient care and focus. Provide effective and efficient support to doctors and help them manage schedules, tasks, and queries. Liaise with anesthetists, assisting doctors, medical representatives, nurses and hospitals to ensure theatre lists are well managed and coordinated. Strong communication skills are needed to ensure patients are well-informed about Surgery information and that the hospitals receive Theatre lists promptly. Theatre bags are well prepared, and instruments are delivered to hospitals accordingly. Prepare and ensure the clinic runs smoothly. Explain billing policies, quote and collect surgical fees. Maintenance of patient records. Stock management. Liaise with suppliers to ensure adequate stock level. Sterilising equipment when needed. (training will be provided) Assist the reception and secretary team/practice manager when needed. Requirements: A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Secretary in a Specialist practice. Knowledge of Genie is preferred but not essential. 'Can do' attitude who is highly organised and prides themselves on their attention to detail. Empathetic and kind nature. Punctual and robust work ethic. The ability to be flexible, work and liaise effectively with other team members. Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
