Senior Operations Technician – Mechanic Location: Bayside Council, Sydney, NSW, Australia Full time full permanent position, $1,372.54 to $1,534.90 per week plus 12% superannuation. 9‑day fortnight, great working hours and outstanding leave conditions. About the role Based at Council’s Bexley Depot, these roles perform fault diagnoses, plant, vehicle and equipment servicing and repairs to ensure the council’s plant fleet is safe, fit for purpose and operating at optimum efficiency. Both roles work within our team of Mechanics who are fortunate enough to work across the broad range of vehicles and equipment Bayside Council owns and operates. No two days are the same as you will service everything from whipper snippers to passenger vehicles to large mechanical sweeper trucks or fabricate equipment to support our trades maintenance teams. About you Qualified and licensed Mechanic or Metal Fabricator. Ability to diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment. SafeWork NSW white card (general construction induction card). Proven team player with a "can do" attitude. MR / HR Drivers’ Licence preferred or willingness to obtain.
