About the Role (5 year - Fixed termposition) We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and strategicleader to take on the role of Service Manager Procurement andContracts. In this pivotal position, you will lead the City’sprocurement and contracts service unit, ensuring compliance withlegislation, policy and best practice while driving efficiency andinnovation. You will provide expert advice to the Chief Financial Officerand Executive Leadership Team, oversee the development oftransparent procurement systems, and implement robust contractmanagement processes that mitigate risk and deliver value formoney. This role requires a strong focus on governance, stakeholderengagement, and continuous improvement, as well as the ability tofoster a positive team culture and deliver operational outcomesaligned with the City’s strategic objectives About you We’re seeking a dynamic and strategic leader with a strongfocus on building organisational capability and driving excellencein procurement and contract management. The ideal candidatewill: Bring senior level Local Government experience in managingprocurement, contracts and tendering Be a leader who can inspire and develop a high-performingteam, fostering a culture of collaboration, efficiency,customer service and continuous improvement Lead with integrity, ensuring compliant procurementstrategies aligned with organisational goals which delivervalue for money Build strong stakeholder relationships, influencing andguiding decision making at all levels to achieve sustainable,best practice outcomes Drive capability development City-wide by equipping theorganisation with fit for purpose tools and processes Have advanced analytical and conceptual thinkingcapabilities Be confident using the Microsoft Office suite and haveexperience with CiA TechnologyOne system and 360 tenderevaluation platform.
