Our client is a local, $5 Billion leader in its sector, seeking a Commodity Trading Manager to join their Melbourne team. This role requires experience trading in the commodity space, with a focus on product procurement and sourcing. The ideal candidate will be financially savvy, great with numbers and have a great understanding of market influences. Role Lead the trading operations across the client's VIC network, driving profitability through strategic procurement of materials Develop and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships to secure supply and maximise margins Monitor global market trends, market influences and commodity prices to identify trading opportunities and mitigate risk Work closely with all parts of the business to ensure optimal material flow, stock management, and service delivery Deliver on budgeted trading performance and contribute to the overall strategic growth of the business Your background Proven experience in trading and procurement within commodities Strong commercial & financial acumen with the ability to analyse markets and make sound trading decisions Track record of building and managing supplier relationships across multiple channels Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a focus on delivering margin and maintaining long‑term partnerships Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment where decisions impact both financial and operational outcomes If you’re interested & match the above, please apply below or contact Matthew Neave from Blackbook Executive on .
