The team works with a range of communities - from the Seafood Capital of Australia, primary producers, to seaside holiday towns - to tell their stories on radio, online, social media, and TV. In this role you’ll be living and working in a city with world class culinary offerings, just a short walk or drive from some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic Producer to provide in studio support to the Presenter, part-time, Monday to Friday, from 6am to 10am. Flexibility to work remotely on occasion to support other programs in different locations may be required, and will be highly regarded. Heavily guided by the Presenter and the Editor, you will: Create content for multiple platforms to engage local, state and national audiences. Provide in-studio production support and manage talk-back callers and guests Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan and communicate with relevant stakeholders as required. Help identify and develop local content that can be shared with other content teams in News and across the ABC on multiple platforms. About You You will be working closely with the experienced and very capable Port Lincoln Presenter in a collaborative way, and your valued contributions will provide you with solid experience in Radio and production. Sound understanding of the issues that affect and interest the local audience. Entry level skills in creating original, engaging audio and cross-platform content.
