Manager, Domain Engineering

Join IAG's Technology & Operations team as a Domain Engineering Manager and lead the strategy that shapes how we deliver technology change across the enterprise. This role drives automation of the Software Delivery Lifecycle and modernisation of non-production environments, enabling secure, compliant, and efficient delivery. You’ll lead a team of Principal Engineers and Quality Engineering specialists, define engineering standards, and influence senior stakeholders to embed best practices. This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne) . What You'll Do Define and own the enterprise-wide Domain Engineering strategy and roadmap. Drive automation of the SDLC and modernisation of lower environments. Lead Principal Engineers and Quality Engineering teams to uplift practices. Establish governance, guardrails, and compliance frameworks for CI/CD and release orchestration. Engage senior stakeholders to secure buy-in and adoption of engineering standards. Oversee platform enablement and reusable workflows for orchestration. Define success metrics (e.g., DORA, compliance, adoption) and report outcomes to leadership. What You'll Bring Proven experience in software development, CI/CD technologies, and cloud architecture. Expertise in designing CI/CD pipelines at scale using GitHub Actions and DevSecOps practices. Strong knowledge of cloud application architecture, observability, and monitoring tools. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience in governance, compliance, and risk management in regulated environments. Familiarity with security best practices in public cloud and identity management.
