Opportunity Permanent, part‑time (0.36 EFT) Days flexible – Monday & Tuesday preferred Experience in Emergency Advanced Practice setting desirable 5 weeks annual leave (pro‑rata) Grade 3 Classification (VB7‑VC1) Alfred site Great staff benefits The Department The Alfred Health Physiotherapy Department provides acute physiotherapy services to patients at The Alfred and Sandringham Hospital and subacute physiotherapy services at Caulfield Hospital. The acute service is organised into five functional streams: Intensive Care, Musculoskeletal, Respiratory, PAN (Progressive Illness, Aged Care and Neurosciences), and Sandringham. The first four streams operate at The Alfred site, while the Sandringham stream is based at the Sandringham site. The department's expertise spans intensive care, cardiovascular surgery, general surgery, orthopaedics, trauma, burns, lung transplantation, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary rehabilitation, neurology, infectious diseases, haematology/oncology and general medicine. Position Summary The Senior Clinician (AMP / outpatients) Grade 3 physiotherapist is responsible for the ongoing development and provision of the musculoskeletal physiotherapy services to the out‑patient program and may contribute to the Advanced Practice Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy service at The Alfred. Depending on contracted hours, responsibilities may include supervising and professional development of Senior (Grade 2) and Grade 1 physiotherapists. The role is research‑oriented, supporting advanced‑practice initiatives and quality improvement in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and requires strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
