Base pay range: A$180,000.00/yr - A$210,000.00/yr Recruitment Consultant – Software Development & Contracting Specialist I'm looking for a Staff Software Engineer who is not only hands‑on but thrives on solving complex problems, driving engineering excellence, and shaping architecture that will last for years. Working with an ASX‑listed company on an exciting greenfield project, the decisions you help make over the next 12‑18 months will define the backbone of the platform and will have a huge industry impact. What you'll be doing Architect & Design: Lead major architectural decisions and design scalable, resilient systems that can support global growth. Hands‑On Development: Contribute directly to building high‑quality software using Elixir/Phoenix , React , and TypeScript . Technical Leadership: Guide engineers across teams, set best practices, elevate engineering standards, and drive continuous improvement. Cross‑Functional Alignment: Work closely with product, data, and operations teams to ensure technical direction aligns with business strategy. Shape the Platform: Play a key role in defining long‑term technical direction and the evolution of our core platform. About You Strong experience in backend or full‑stack engineering, ideally with distributed systems or high‑scale environments. Elixir experience is highly desirable – but if you're excited to work with it and willing to learn quickly, we'd love to hear from you. Ability to lead technical decisions, mentor others, and influence engineering culture. Comfortable balancing hands‑on coding with architectural leadership. Thrives in an environment where impactful decisions are made quickly and collaboratively. Sydney based – Hybrid, 4 days in office – new office in Sydney CBD coming early next year. Salary ranges from $180,000 to $210,000 + Super + ESOP (depending on experience). Citizen's, PR's or eligible visa holders only for this role.
