Apprentice Horticulture – Parks and Gardens Certificate III Certificate III Horticulture Parks and Gardens We are looking for two apprentices to complete a 4‑year apprenticeship in Horticulture, maintaining and caring for the local parks and gardens on the north shore. Working outdoors, duties include using machinery and equipment, pruning, planting, hedging, mowing, identifying plants, using fertilisers and chemicals, maintaining irrigation systems, identifying pests and diseases and many other varied tasks. You will attend TAFE one day a week for 2.5 years for off‑the‑job training. A driver’s licence is highly preferred; public transport is available. You must be well presented for public contact and have good communication skills. Hours are Monday to Friday 6.30 am to 3.30 pm with a rostered day off each fortnight. Great career path and opportunity for the successful applicants. Uniforms and PPE are supplied. School Students: We welcome students wishing to complete one week of work experience with a view to commencing the apprenticeship if suitable.
