Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority – Darwin NT Senior Administrative Officer 2 - Remuneration Package Range $174,191 - $189,700 Policy and Governance Darwin One full time ongoing vacancy is available As the Director Policy and Governance you will provide high level strategic leadership and advice in relation to policy development and implementation, legislative reform, stakeholder engagement, governance and regulatory compliance and enforcement. The role is responsible for initiating, developing and monitoring strategic and operational performance as well as providing legal and strategic advice in relation to the Authority and its legislative obligations. You will liaise with a wide range of stakeholders including Aboriginal custodians, Aboriginal Land Councils, government agencies, landowners, proponents in the agricultural, mining, oil and gas sectors, and developers of public and private infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in preserving Aboriginal cultural heritage, working within a small and dedicated team to ensure the protection of sacred sites and be responsible for the management of the sacred site investigation and prosecution process.
