Immanuel College is seeking a committed Boarding House Supervisor to join our team from January 2026 . In this vital role, you will contribute to the care, wellbeing, and development of our boarding students, helping them thrive in a nurturing community. About the Role The Boarding House Supervisor (BHS) is an integral member of the Boarding team, focused on supporting the wellbeing and personal development of our boarding students in a safe and inclusive, residential setting. You will work collaboratively with the Director and Deputy Directors of Boarding, academic, and boarding staff to help students thrive both personally and academically. This is a casual, 24/7 rostered role, which includes occasional overnight sleepovers. Your ability to build trusted relationships, support student wellbeing, and contribute to a vibrant and safe boarding community will be essential. Key Responsibilities Provide consistent supervision and support to boarding students Foster strong relationships with students, staff, and families Monitor academic and co‑curricular engagement Promote a respectful and inclusive boarding culture Assist with administrative processes Assist in managing students’ physical and emotional health in collaboration with the Boarding House Parents Support student development through planned activities and daily routines Ensure compliance with behavioural expectations, work health and safety practices and risk management About You Experience working with adolescents in a residential or youth‑focused setting will be preferred, however not essential. Demonstrates empathy, maturity, and strong interpersonal skills. Communicates effectively and builds positive relationships across diverse backgrounds. Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries. A positive, approachable attitude with a genuine interest in working with young people. Flexibility to work nights and weekends as required. Aligns with the Christian values and ethos of the College. Required Qualifications Current Working With Children Check First Aid certification Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN‑EC) Current Driver’s Licence Willingness to complete ABSA Duty of Care training Valuing Safe Communities training (or willingness to complete upon appointment) Why Join Immanuel?
