Lead & Grow Our Queensland Civil Team – Relocate to Brisbane We are seeking a Civil Lead to join our Brisbane team based in our CBD office. This role provides an opportunity to deliver a strong pipeline of projects for a range of clients, work with technical experts across the Tonkin business and foster the growth and development of a Queensland Civil team. You will be a Senior Civil Engineer with RPEQ who is eager to transition into a Lead role, be comfortable in both technical and client facing project roles, with a willingness to manage teams in achieving successful outcomes and business development. About the role: You will be responsible for: Leading and growing the Queensland Civil Team while building a culture that reflects Tonkin’s values of Care, Trust, Together and Excellence Managing, guiding and reviewing civil engineering design in a range of project types including building civil, greenspace, urban spaces, road upgrades, intersections, traffic upgrades and shared use paths Business development by actively building key client relationships, identifying and pursuing key opportunities and maintaining a pipeline of work Establishing and driving the strategic direction of the Queensland Civil Team through long term business planning About you: To succeed in this role, you will ideally have: 8+ years of experience MIEAust CPEng / NER preferred Experience in managing a team in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects CPEng/RPEQ in Civil Engineering Experience working and coordinating with architects, landscape architects, contractors, Authorities and clients Experience in business development Experience undertaking design and documentation reviews and providing certification Ability and willingness to mentor and develop staff Experience in stormwater, pavement grading, earthworks, pavements, roadworks Positive support from business experts and access to tailored training, providing a clear pathway from Senior Engineer to Civil Lead A collaborative and supportive culture focused on excellence and innovation The opportunity to shape and grow a high-performing team while advancing your own career This is the ideal position for someone who is committed and passionate about furthering their career and would like to join a high performing team who are recognised for technical excellence, finding creative and progressive ways to deliver value for our clients, and putting a value based human touch into crafting solutions that have wide reaching impact.
